SAULT STE. MARIE – The Community Christmas Tree was the star of the show Thursday evening, with Mayor Christian Provenzano, joined by his wife, Kyleigh, and their daughter, Isla, doing tree-lighting honours. The event was part of Queenstown Association BIA’s Moonlight Magic celebrations. Provenzano gave a special shout-out to Public Works and PUC staff, many of whom worked on their own time to bring the project to life. The Sault Transit Stuff-A-Bus was also on-site, collecting Christmas Cheer donations. Sponsors that provided lighting and decorations included Arauco, First General Services, Green for Life and McDougall Energy. Hot chocolate was compliments of Tim Hortons.
