I have heard many positive comments from a number of folks who appreciate the beauty of the artists’ work and it is great to showcase the creative ability of local artists and beautify our city at the same time,” said Susan Myers, Ward 2 Councillor.

City Council established a Graffiti Task Force in an effort to combat nuisance tagging throughout the community. In an effort to fulfill this mandate, the City has established this competition to deter “tags” that often appear on traffic boxes and engage local artists to beautify the boulevards of Sault Ste. Marie.
