The owner of this thriving business, Samantha Lewis, wants to ensure that her beauty techniques will instill vast amounts of confidence in all her clients.

Samantha Lewis is a lifelong resident of Sault Ste. Marie and her longstanding attachments to the community are exemplified by her self-owned business settled amid the city. Lewis says she always had an interest in the beauty industry, which eventually took her to Sault College where she refined her skills in a multitude of beauty techniques. A trained makeup artist and esthetician, Lewis offers an array of different beauty services at Samantha Beauty such as waxing services, lash tints and extensions, and she is also a helping hand at bridal parties and the like. Lewis has made great strides with her beauty business and uses a personable and understanding yet firm and confident approach with her clients- a manner that has garnered her a number of loyal clients and a following on social media.
“I get to control every client's experience with what happens, so every client that comes gets the exact experience that I would want for them,” Lewis explains her approach to her business. Encouraging questions from clients about certain techniques, Lewis assures that her clients will feel comfortable and content with the beauty ventures they seek out at Samantha Beauty. And while building her business from the ground up has been a taxing (but rewarding) journey, Lewis's words about her business in the community exude gratitude and warmth.
"It's kind of like a family community that you create when you have a business here, which is a really nice feeling,"
Lewis shares. Encountering former clients who Lewis has worked with in the past during special occasions emphasizes this familial community notion, and it's an aspect of the business that is particularly important for Lewis.
“I would be nowhere without the community. The community gives me everything. I am so grateful for the loyal people I do have to support me." Lewis exclaims excitedly, solidifying the positive impact that her Sault Ste. Marie community has had on her business. As Lewis credits the support of her community with where she is today, she makes sure to put in the effort to give back to the community through various charitable efforts.
"I started doing local giveaways, four times a year. With every season, I choose to support a business here," Lewis says. She has also put extraneous efforts in the past to raise money to donate to the Soup Kitchen during the holidays.
As Samantha Beauty grows as a business within the city, Lewis eventually wants to help someone in the same line of work as her to get started in the business and help them achieve their dreams.
"With having a bigger business, comes the ability to have more community involvement,” Lewis says in regard to the growth of her business in Sault Ste. Marie.
